So here we have it my first preview of a film. ill give you my veiws on weather or not i think its worth a look, so you aint got to waste your time!
Ill start with tropic thunder, ben stillers first directing effort since the fabulous zoolander back in 2001. this film has got the potential to be an instant classic, or a career ender. The plot will see Stiller, jack black and robert downey jnr playin actors in a modern day version of apoclypse now with one little twist! There director played by steve coogan and writer nick nolte get just a litlle bit tired of there premadona stars. So They send them into a very real war situation.
Robert downey jr returns after his triumphent iron man stint, to play what could be the most controversial film since life of brian. Downeys character is An intense Oscar winning method actor, who takes the role of foley a black man. Stiller and downey will be walking a tight rope with this one, but early signs say they have passed with style. A early screening version to a group of African - Americans was met with a very warm reaction. Jacks character is known for playing multiple characters in a film. so like a white eddie murphy, even with his last film called the fatties fart 2. im not sayin that nutty professor was a influence, but then do i need to? oh and with a drug habbit to kick in jungle to. Stillers character will see him playing a actor that gets just a little bit to into his character. so it should suit stiller to a T!
